Marshfield won its own Bay City Duals wrestling tournament Saturday at the Pirate Palace, Coos Bay. The two-day tournament featured eight-teams, plus a girls’ tourney and JV tournament. The Pirates took the 1st Place trophy with a 42-33 win in the championship bout over Mazama, of Klamath Falls. In the finals, Marshfield got wins from Garron Castro (106), Christian Woodram (113), Hadyn Widdicombe (120), Reese Hite (132), Ethan Flood (138), Aaron Sinnott (165), Aryan Wright (175), & Wyatt Petley (190). The Pirates Aryan Wright was voted the Upper Weight Most Outstanding Wrestler for the tournament, and Mazama’s Hadyn Burk (126) the Most Outstanding Lower Weight Wrestler. Coquille placed third and North Bend fourth.
