Preparing for the 3A Basketball Tournament, Feb. 12

The 3A Basketball tournament is upon us and once again we’d love to show our community support and make this the best event yet. Here is how you can help! 1. Do you have a business along highway 101 or Virginia? Volunteer to decorate your windows in one of the participating teams colors to show your support and make our visiting teams feel welcome. Coos Bay businesses should contact Beth Clarkson at: beth@checkerberrys.com and North Bend businesses should contact Johanna Dilliard at jdillard@walterenelson.com 2. Donate small gift item for the coach’s gift bags. We’ll be putting together 16 gift bags for coaches and would love to include items such as water bottles, trinkets, candy, souvenirs, coupons for team discounts, etc. Items can be dropped off at the Coos Bay Visitor Center no later than March 3rd. For more information email info@oregonsadventurecoast.com 3. Do you have a restaurant? Offer to give discounts on meals for teams who come in for dinner. Keep in mind these are teenagers and teams on a budget so more economical restaurants will most likely be the preference. Discount offers/coupons can be dropped off at Coos Bay visitor center by March 3rd or emailed to info@oregonsadventurecoast.com 4. Put a Welcome 3A Tournament on your reader board or display area starting March 5th. 5. Help us spread the word. Forward this email to your mailing list. 6. Purchase an all event pass or Sponsor a local student pass. Adult all event passes are $50, student passes $25. They can be purchased at either high school’s athletic department or online at: http://www.osaa.org/activities/bbx/tickets (If purchasing a donated pass online please let us know so that we may set aside your tickets for a local student) 7. Attend the final games of the tournament! If you’re not up for an all event pass, attend the Girls championship game Saturday, March 8th at 6:30pm or the Boys championship game Saturday, March 8 at 8:30pm.
