News release from CBPD. On April 5th, 2015, a two week long prescription fraud investigation involving a former North Bend Medical Center employee culminated in her arrest. The investigation had revealed numerous instances of prescription fraud over the past several years. The investigation is continuing, with possible additional charges to follow. 39 year old Coos Bay resident Sarah Jane Sluder was transported and lodged at the Coos County Jail on the following charges: Tampering with Drug Records (106 counts); Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance (89 counts); Forgery II (106 counts); Aggravated Identity Theft. According to an entry on the CBPD log for Sunday, April 5, 6:57 p.m., Sluder was taken into custody at a residence on S. Coos River Lane, and transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille.
