The Coos County Master Food Preservers will hold a pressure canning class on Saturday, June 27. This hands-on class will teach the fundamentals of pressure canning using dried beans. But the fundamentals of pressure canning will be covered, so even if you’re not into canning dried beans, you’ll learn the steps and important safety precautions for pressure canning foods like meats, seafood and vegetables. The class will be held at the OSU Extension Service in Myrtle Point, 10 am til 2 pm. Cost is $10. To reserve a seat, call 541-572-5263, ext. 25292.
