City of North Bend release – The City Planning Commission held a public hearing on this application at their regular remote meeting on Monday, July 20, 2020 in the City Hall Council Chambers. Staff presented the proposal. Public comment was received both orally and in writing. Action: The Commission closed the hearing and voted unanimously (6-0) to RECOMMEND COUNCIL APPROVE AND ADOPT by ordinance Case File No. AMD 1-20, a proposal to amend the text of North Bend City Code Title 18, Zoning to include regulations specific to residential short-term rental standards. Planning Commission recommends the City Council approve and adopt the proposal as presented with changes as discussed during the July 20, 2020 public hearing. Decision Criteria: Chapter 18.84 North Bend City Code, Amendment Procedures. Findings: In making their decision, the Planning Commission relied upon the findings and conclusions contained within the Staff Report including proposed Recommendation to Approve, the application, and the testimony and evidence presented at the Planning Commission hearing. FINAL DECISION by the City Council: The City Council will consider the recommendation of the Planning Commission and will hold a public hearing on this matter at their regular remote meeting scheduled Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at 7:00 PM in the City Hall Council Chamber.
