ODFW release – ODFW staff will be hosting in person meetings August 1 – 3 to start discussing the 2024 recreational bottomfish and Pacific halibut seasons with anglers. The Tuesday meeting will also be available for folks to participate remotely (online) for those unable to participate in any of the meetings in person. The meetings will be held: Newport: Tuesday, August 1, 6-8 pm at the Marine Resources Program office, 2040 SE Marine Science Drive (also available online); Brookings: Wednesday, August 2, 5:30-7 pm at the Chetco Community Public Library, 405 Alder Street; Winchester Bay: Thursday, August 3, 6:30-8 pm at the Winchester Bay Marina Activity Center, 263 Marina Way. ODFW staff will have the meeting materials posted on the recreational bottomfish and halibut webpages by Friday, July 28.
