Public meeting on Central Oregon Coast spring all-depth halibut season Feb. 4 in Newport

ODFW release – NEWPORT, Ore.–ODFW will be asking for public input on the upcoming Central Oregon Coast spring all-depth halibut season at a meeting on Monday, Feb, 4 from 6- 7:30 p.m. at the ODFW Marine Resources Program Conference Room, 2040 SE Marine Science Dr., Newport. ODFW staff will give an overview of the results of the International Pacific Halibut Commission Annual meeting and the resulting quotas. Then meeting participants will be able to provide input on the number and timing of “fixed” and “backup” dates for the Central Oregon Coast Subarea (Cape Falcon to Humbug Mountain) spring all-depth halibut season.
