Public meeting to hear from utilities about the Labor Day windstorm event and wildfires, Oct. 1

WHEN: Thursday, October 1, 2020 at 1 p.m.; VIEW ONLINE: View the agenda and link to the Zoom Meeting; CALL-IN: 253-215-8782 (Webinar ID: 969 1679 0240) (Passcode: 255010); The Oregon Public Utility Commission (PUC) is hosting a special public meeting to hear from regulated electric, natural gas, telecommunications, and water utilities on a high level how they planned for, are responding to, and are preparing to build back from the Labor Day storm and wildfires. During this meeting, you will hear updates from the following regulated utilities: Energy – Portland General Electric – Maria Pope, President & CEO and Larry Bekkedahl, Vice President, Transmission & Distribution; PacifiCorp, dba Pacific Power – Stefan Bird, President & CEO and David Lucas, Vice President, Transmission and Distribution Operations; Avista Utilities – Dennis Vermillion, President & CEO, Brian Taylor, Manager of Natural Gas Operations (Medford Region), and Pat Ehrbar, Director of Regulatory Affairs; NW Natural Gas Company – David Anderson, President & CEO. Telecommunications – Oregon Telecommunications Association – Brant Wolf, Executive Vice President’ Ziply Fiber (formerly Frontier) – Jessica Epley, Regulatory & External Affairs Director; Lumen (formerly CenturyLink) – Samantha Ridderbusch, Regulatory & Government Affairs Director. Water – Hiland Water Corporation – Silas Olson, General Manager. During this public meeting there will not be opportunities to ask questions.
