The Department of Environmental Quality is reopening the public comment period for the Jordan Cove Energy Project proposed Air Contaminant Discharge Permit and invites the public to submit written comments on Conditions 7, 11, and 12. The Environmental Quality Commission recently adopted rules that change particulate matter standards. These new standards have been incorporated into the proposed permit and are the only conditions that are open for additional comment. This proposal is for a new source consisting of a 420 Megawatt power plant, natural gas cleaning systems, four liquefaction trains, liquefied natural gas (LNG) storage tanks, and LNG ship load out facilities. Written comments are due by 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2015.
