A 2.7-magnitude earthquake was recorded at the southern junction where two fault lines begin that run parallel with the Oregon Coast Monday, Aug. 20. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake was located west to northwest of Petrolia, CA near Cape Mendocino.
