A 2.9-magnitude earthquake shook the Cape Mendocino area in Northern California early Friday morning, May 15, where two fault lines begin that run parallel with the Oregon Cost. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake was recorded at 2:20 a.m. and was located 36-miles southwest of Eureka, CA.
