A 2.9-magnitude earthquake shook the junction of two fault lines that begin at Cape Mendocino in Northern California early Monday morning and then track north parallel with the Oregon Coast. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake was located west to southwest of Ferndale, CA.
