A 2.9-magnitude earthquake struck the Cape Mendocino area of Northern California Tuesday, Oct. 20, where two fault lines begin that run parallel with the Oregon Coast. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake was recorded at 10:06 p.m. and was located 42-miles southwest of Eureka, CA.
