A 3.5-magnitude earthquake shook the Pacific Ocean seafloor within the Cascadia Subduction Zone off the Central Oregon Coast Sunday, Nov. 9. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake at 3:24 a.m. and was located 271-miles west of Waldport. Lakeview, in south – central Oregon had a 3.1-magnitude quake Sunday at 7:22 a.m. It was the fifth in the 2.0 to 3.0-magntide range to hit the area since Saturday. A 3.4-magnitude quake also occurred Sunday at 12:22 a.m., near Cape Mendocino in Northern California where two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast, enter the Pacific Ocean.
