A 3.8-magnitude earthquake was recorded west to northwest of Coos Bay early Thursday morning, April 26. The quake was located on the inner fault line of the two that run parallel with the Oregon Coast. There was also a 2.8-mangitude quake recorded just off of Cape Mendocino in Northern California where the two fault lines begin.
