A minor 2.6 earthquake was recorded near Cape Mendocino in Northern California early Friday morning, Sept. 2. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake was recorded at 7:42 a.m. (UTC), and was located 35km west of Hayfork, CA near where two fault lines begin that run parallel with the Oregon Coast.
