A 2.8-magnitude earthquake was recorded Wednesday, Sept. 21, 5:02 (UTC) at the junction where two fault lines begin in Northern California and then run parallel with the Oregon Coast. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake was located near Cape Mendocino, 57km west of Ferndale, CA.
