Three days after six earthquakes shook the southern point of two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast, the U.S. Geological Survey reports a 3.1-magnitude quake was recorded at Cape Mendocino in Northern California. The quake was located in the same area as the other half-dozen, west to southwest of Ferndale, CA.
