A 2.9-magnitude earthquake struck the southern end of two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast Thursday, Sept. 7. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake was located west of Ferndale, CA near Cape Mendocino in Northern California. A 2.5-magnitude quake was also recorded nearby in Willow Creek, CA.
