A 4.6-magnitude earthquake shook the outer fault line of the two that run parallel with the Oregon Coast Friday, April 12. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake was located west of Ferndale, CA near Cape Mendocino. On Saturday, April 13, a 2.7-magnitude quake was recorded southeast of Petrolia, CA, also near Cape Mendocino.
