Three earthquakes were recorded at the southern end of the two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast Friday, April 15. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 2.9-magnitude quake was located west of Petrolia, CA, and two other quakes, a 2.5-magnitude and a 2.5-magnitude quake were located west of Ferndale, CA, and northwest of Petrolia, CA, all three near Cape Mendocino in Northern California. On Sunday, A 2.8-magnitude quake was also recorded west of Petrolia, CA.
