Several earthquakes rocked the fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast Friday, March 31st and Saturday, April 1st. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 2.5-magnitude quake was located at the southern junction of the two fault lines northwest of Petrolia, CA near Cape Mendocino in Northern California Friday. A second quake, 3.5-magnitude, was located Saturday morning, west of Ferndale, CA on the outer fault line, and a 3.4-magnitude quake was recorded Friday west to northwest of Bandon also on the outer fault line. On Sunday, a 2.8-magnitude quake was recorded west to northwest of Petrolia, CA.
