Quakes, Aug. 20

A couple of earthquakes shook the Cape Mendocino area of Northern California where two fault lines begin that run parallel with the Oregon Coast.  According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 34.-magnitude quake occurred on Friday, Aug. 17, west to northwest of Ferndale, CA.  The second quake, a magnitude 3.2 early Saturday morning, was near shore, northeast of Westhaven-Moonstone, CA.
