A couple of small earthquakes shook the southern end of the two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast this past weekend. The first ocurrerd Saturday, Aug. 3. According to the U. S. Geological Survey, a 2.8-magnitude quake hi t west of Petrolia, CA. The second quake was measured at 2.9-magnitude and was also located west of Petrolica, CA, but occurred early Sunday morning near Cape Mendocino in Northern California.
