The outer fault line of the two that run parallel with the Oregon Coast continues to be active. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 2.7-magnitude quake was recorded west of Langlois, in Northern Curry Co., Saturday, Aug. 5. On Sunday, Aug. 6, a 2.5-magnitude quake was recorded at the southern end of the two fault lines. According to the USGS the quake was located west of Petrolia, CA, near Cape Mendocino in Northern California.
