A couple of earthquakes were recorded within the Cascadia Subduction Zone Monday, Aug. 8. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 2.8-mangitude quake was recorded west to southwest of Port Orford, and a 3.0-magnitude was recorded further south, west of Ferndale, CA near Cape Mendocino in Northern California.
