Quakes, Dec. 1

A 2.8-magnitude earthquake shook the Cape Mendocino area of Northern California Friday, Nov. 28. According to the U.S. Geological Survey the quake occurred at 10:27 p.m. and was located 40-miles southwest of Eureka, CA where two fault lines begin and eventually run parallel with the Oregon Coast. There was also a 3.4-magnitude quake recorded 41-miles east to southeast of Lakeview in South Central Oregon. A 3.1-magnitude quake was recorded at Cape Mendocino Saturday, Nov. 29, 3:48 p.m., 54-miles southwest of Eureka,CA. A 2.9-magnitude quake was recorded at Cape Mendocino Sunday, Nov. 30, 12:42 p.m., 22-miles south of Eureka, CA. And, a 2.9-magnitude quake took place Sunday, Nov. 30, 10:05 p.m., 44-miles east to northeast of Lakeview, OR.
