Another rare quake in Oregon’s upper Willamette Valley, and a significant quake near the start of two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast near Cape Mendocino in Northern California. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 4.0-magnitude quake was recorded Wednesday, Dec. 13, near Molalla, between Salem and Portland. A 4.3-magnitude quake was also recorded early Thursday morning, west to southwest of Laytonville, CA.
