A couple of earthquakes were recorded near the Southern End of the two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast Thursday, Dec. 15. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 2.9-magnitude quake was located right at the junction west to northwest of Petrolia, CA, the other was on land, a 2.6-magngitude southeast of Blue Lake, CA both near Cape Mendocino in Northern California.
