Quakes, Feb. 6

A 3.0-magnitude earthquake shook the outer fault line of the two that run parallel with the Oregon Coast early Saturday morning, Feb. 4. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake was located west of Ferndale, CA near Cape Mendocino in Northern California. On Sunday, several earthquakes rattled the southern end. According to the USGS, a 3.0-magnitude quake was recorded west of Ferndale, CA on the outer fault line, a 2.9-magnitude quake was just off shore west of Ferndale, CA, and a 2.5-magnitude quake was located east to southeast of Rio Dell, CA, all near Cape Mendocino.
