A 3.4-magnitude earthquake was recorded at Cape Mendocino in Northern California early Saturday morning, Jan. 10. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake occurred at 2:12 a.m. and was located 29-miles south of Eureka, CA where two fault lines begin that run parallel with the Oregon Coast. The Lakeview area of south central Oregon continues to have seismic activity. A 3.0-magnitude quake was recorded Saturday morning, 2:30 a.m. On Saturday, a 3.1-magnitude quake occurred at the northern end of the two fault lines at 8:59 a.m., 19-miles west to south west of Forks, WA.
