Several earthquakes were recorded at the southern end of the two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast early Tuesday, Jan. 17. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 3.3-magnitude quake was recorded west to northwest of Petrolia, CA, along with 2.7-magnitude Monday, Jan. 16, west to southwest of Ferndale, CA, and a 2.6-magnitude, also Monday, south to southwest of Rio Dell, CA, all three near Cape Mendocino in Northern California.
