A couple of quakes were recorded within the two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast Wednesday, Jan. 22. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, both quakes were near Cape Mendocino in Northern California. A 4.6-magntitude quake occurred at 8:10 p.m., 60-miles west to southwest of Eureka. The second quake was a 2.7-magnitude recorded at 5:09 a.m., 260miles south of Eureka.
