A 4.0-magnitude earthquake shook the outer fault line of the two that run parallel with the Oregon Saturday, Jan. 28. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake was located west of Tofino, Canada, off Vancouver Island. A second quake, 3.7-magnitude, was recorded also Saturday at the southern junction of the two fault lines west to southwest of Ferndale, CA near Cape Mendocino in Northern California.
