A 4.1-magnitude earthquake was recorded off the South Oregon Coast Saturday, July 10. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake was located west to northwest of Port Orford in Curry Co. on the outer fault line of the two that run parallel with the Oregon Coast. There was also a 2.9-magnitude quake at the southern junction of the two fault lines west of Petrolia, CA near Cape Mendocino in Northern California. On Sunday, a 4.0-magnitude quake occurred west of Petrolia, CA and a 3.8-magnitude followed in the same area.
