A 2.7-magnitude earthquake was recorded on the outer fault line of the two that run parallel with the Oregon Coast Friday, July 16. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake was located west of Port Orford in Curry Co. at a depth of six-miles. On Saturday, a 5.1-magnitude quake shook the southern junction west of Petrolia, CA, near Cape Mendocino in Northern California.
