A 2.9-magnitude earthquake shook the southern end of the two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast early Wednesday morning, July 22. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake was located west to northwest of Ferndale, CA near Cape Mendocino in Northern California. A 3.2-magnitude quake was also recorded on land on the Central Oregon Coast. The Survey located Monday’s quake east to southeast of Rose Lodge in Lincoln County.
