A series of earthquakes early Thursday morning, July 4, were recorded within the Cascadia Subduction Zone and three west of Coos Co. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the three quakes were all on the outer fault line of the two that run parallel with the Oregon Coast. They measured 4.1, 4.1, & 3.7 magnitudes. There was also a larger 6.2-magnitude quake at the northern end of the two fault lines west to southwest of Bella Bella, Canada. Adding to the list was one near the southern junction, 3.1-magnitude west to southwest of Crescent City, CA.
