A 2.7-magnitude earthquake shook the southern end of the two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast Saturday, July 4. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake was located west of Petrolia, CA near Cape Mendocino in Northern California. On Sunday, July 5, a 2.9-magnitude quake was recorded in the same area but southeast of Petorlia, CA.
