A 2.8-magnitude earthquake shook the southern junction of the two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast June 20. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake was located west to northwest of Petrolia, CA near Cape Mendocino in Northern California. On Sunday, June 21, a 2.6-magnitude quake was also recorded west to northwest of Petrolia, CA, and a 2.7-magnitude quake shook land east to southeast of Redway, CA in the same area of Cape Mendocino. Early Monday morning, June 22, a 3.0-magnitude quake was recorded between the two fault lines west to southwest of Pistol River in Curry County on the South Oregon Coast. The depth was six-miles.
