Following a 4.2-magnitude quake off of Coos Bay last Friday morning, the outer line of the two that run parallel with the Oregon Coast erupted with activity early Saturday morning, June 22.  According to the U.S. Geological Survey, six quakes were recorded ranging from 4.2 to 5.4-magnitude.  None of the quakes generated a tsunami wave.  The activity continued early Sunday morning with several more in the same area, plus the southern end near Cape Mendocino in Northern California was hit with a 5.6-magnitude quake as well.
