A series of quakes were recorded along the main fault line that splits into the two that run parallel with the Oregon Coast Tuesday, March 22. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the furthest north was a 3.1-magnitude on the outside fault line west of Petrolia, CA. The next closest to Cape Mendocino in Northern California was on land, a 2.8-magnitude, north of Redway, CA. The other four were spaced out south into Southern California.
