A whole lot of shaking has been going on at the southern end of the two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the Cape Mendocino area of Northern California has experienced eight quakes early Monday morning, March 9th. Most were west to northwest of Petrolia, CA and Ferndale, CA. The two largest quakes were recorded at 5.8-magnitude and 4.9-magnitude.
