A 4.0-magnitude earthquake shook offshore from Brookings on the South Oregon Coast Saturday, May 11.  According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a second quake, 2.5-magnitude, was also recorded in the same area west of Curry County between the two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast.  A 2.5-magnitude quake was also recorded early Monday morning, May 13, southeast of Petrolia, CA, also near Cape Mendocino.
