Two earthquakes, and an explosion in Douglas Co., were recorded Tuesday, May 12, by the U.S. Geological Survey. According to reports, the 2.6-magnitude explosion occurred at 2:43 p.m., and was located 20-miles west to northwest of Winston. One of the two quakes, a 2.6-magnitude, recorded Tuesday was at the southern end of the two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast. It was located 65-miles west to northwest of Eureka, CA. The second quake was a 2.6-magnitude that occurred at 4:53 a.m. and was located seven-miles west to southwest of Neah Bay, WA.
