Several earthquakes were recorded within the Cascadia Subduction Zone Sunday, May 5. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 2.9-magnitude was recorded west to northwest of Port Orford between the two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast. Two other quakes were located west to northwest of Petrolia, CA, near Cape Mendocino in Northern California. One was a 3.0-magnitude and the other was a 2.7-magnitude.
