A 4.9-magnitude earthquake was recorded off the western side of Canada Friday, Nov. 25. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake was located west to northwest of Tofino, Canada, off Vancouver Island near the inner fault line of the two that run parallel with the Oregon Coast. On Saturday, a 2.5-magnitude quake was recorded at the southern junction of the two fault lines. According to the USGS it was located west to northwest of Petrolia, CA near Cape Mendocino in Northern California.
