A 3.7-magnitude earthquake was recorded on land near the southern end of the two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast Friday, Oct. 9. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake was located north to northeast of Redway, CA near Cape Mendocino. On Saturday, Oct. 10, a 2.5-magnitude quake was recorded west to northwest of Petrolia, CA, also near Cape Mendocino in Northern California.
