The southern end of the two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast shook early Saturday morning, Oct. 27. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 3.0-magnitude quake was recorded west of Ferndale, CA and a 2.9-magnitude west of Petrolia, CA, both near Cape Mendocino. The northern end shook early Monday morning, Oct. 29. A 4.0-magnitude quake was located West of Tofino, Canada.
