A cluster of earthquakes shook the outer fault line of the two that run parallel with the Oregon Coast late Tuesday and early Wednesday. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, about 14 quakes measuring 3.6 to 5.5-magnitude shook the fault line but did not create a tsunami.

A couple of earthquakes shook the southern end of the two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast Tuesday Dec. 7. According to the U.S. Geological Survey a 2.9-magnitude quake was recorded west of Petrolia, CA and a 3.6-magnitude quake was recorded a little further west of Petrolia, CA. Both near Cape Mendocino in Northern California.
